Shirley JoAnn Rios Drummonds, born on May 29, 1958, in Lepanto, Arkansas, to Lazaro (Indian Joe) Rios and Chola Faye Russell Rios, Shirley passed away on July 31, 2025, at St. Bernards Hospital in Jonesboro, Arkansas surrounded by her family. She was 67 years old. Shirley was educated at Senath-Hornersville School and spent her years working in management for apartment complexes. She spent her life rooted in the values of family. Shirley carried grace and warmth throughout her life. Her presence brought joy to those around her, and she will be remembered for the light she brought into the lives of many. She is lovingly remembered by her life partner, Randall Steiger of Arbyrd, Missouri. Shirley shared a deep bond with her siblings: sisters Glenda (Bobby) McGrew of Arbyrd, Missouri; Faye (Steve) Westmorlan of Arbyrd, Missouri; and Dora (Marty) Moore of Hornersville, Missouri; as well as brothers Larry (Terry) Rios of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; Ronnie Rios of Arbyrd, Missouri; and Mikel Rios of Arbyrd, Missouri. Her extended family includes a host of nieces and nephews who held a special place in her heart along with great-nieces and nephews and even great-great-nieces and nephews each touched by her love and attention. Many other relatives and friends. Shirley was preceded in death by her father, Lazaro (Indian Joe) Rios; her mother, Chola Faye Russell Rios; and a cherished group of aunts, uncles, and cousins whose memories she carried with her always. Known for her love of shopping and treating herself to manicures and pedicures, Shirley found joy in life's simple pleasures. But above all else, she treasured time spent with family, especially with her nieces and nephews. Her laughter filled rooms during gatherings large and small, creating memories that will be cherished for generations. Shirley JoAnn Rios Drummonds leaves behind a legacy of love that will continue to shine through those who knew her. May her memory bring comfort to all who mourn her passing. The family will have a private celebration of life at a later time.
