TAMA-Shirley Ann Fisher, 89, of Tama, passed away Tuesday, January 13, 2026 at UnityPoint Health-Marshalltown. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.

Shirley was born on April 2, 1936, in Tama, Iowa, the daughter of Wilford and Hessie (Spencer) Abbott.

Shirley graduated from Tama High School.

Shirley was previously married to Warren Hill, he passed away in 1970. She then married Donald Kasal, he passed away in 2008. In 2009, she married Lee Fisher.

Shirley was a bookkeeper for area businesses including Spooner's and Hill's Appliance both in Tama. She was a member of Living Faith United Methodist Church in Tama and Oak Hill Cemetery Association in Tama. Her hobbies included reading, crossword puzzles, and traveling on bus trips. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband, Lee of Tama; daughter, Nanci (Paul) Loney of Brandon, SD; grandchildren, Emily (Nathanael) Rhody of La Crosse, WI, and Sam (Mackenzie) Loney of Savannah, GA; great grandchildren, Birgitta, Ingrid, Magnus, Hubert, Hildegard, Adelheid Rhody, and Kohen and Elodie Loney; daughter-in-law, Barb Hill of Kansas City, MO; two step sons, Lon (Raylene) Fisher of Brooklyn, and Dan Fisher of Toledo; two sisters, Wanda Soule of Burlington, and Mabel Clark of IL; one brother, Glenn Abbott of IL; and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husbands, Warren Hill and Donald Kasal; son, Jeff Hill; sisters, Virgine Mason, and Ellene Willson; and brother, Pat Abbott.

A memorial fund will be established.
