Shirley Fox Obituary
Shirley J. Fox, age 89, of Logan, Ohio, passed away December 28, 2025, at the Carlin House in Logan, Ohio.
Shirley was born on February 13, 1936, in Weston, WV to James N. Earsom and Lena M. Wilson Earsom. She was a member of the Logan Church of the Nazarene; was an Avon representative for many years; and was a loving and giving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Robert B. Fox; daughters, Vonda (James) Wagoner of Keyser, WV, Vicki (Joachim) Alfieri of Mechanicsburg, PA, and Rhonda (Dean) Sowers of Logan; son, Dr. Robert (Lisa) Fox Jr. of Chesapeake, VA; grandchildren, Shane (Jessica) Wagoner, Shannon (Tim) Bivens, Kevin (Emily) Alfieri, Kristen (John) Ribera, Katie (Ethan) Hess, Jessica (Joe) Levering, Kayla (Warren) Wagner, Jenna Friebis, Brandon (MacKenzie) Sowers, Elijah (Bailey) Fox, Gabrielle (Daniel) Scofield, Silas Fox, Hannah Fox, and John Fox; great-grandchildren, McKenzie Wagoner, Piper Friebis, Richie Ruby, Caroline Ruby, Penelope Ruby, Tucker Sowers and Sawyer Sowers; and her sister, Sandra (George) Bennett of Fayetteville, NC.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, JoAnn Elling.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at the Logan Church of the Nazarene in Logan, Ohio with Pastor Thomas Gates II officiating. Burial followed at Knollwood Cemetery, Logan, Ohio.
Calling hours were observed from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at the Heinlein-Brown Funeral Home, Logan, Ohio and from 10-11 a.m. on Wednesday at the church.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made In Memory of Shirley to the Logan Church of the Nazarene, 650 Walhonding Ave. Logan, Ohio 43138
