Yesterday

Shirley was like a sister to me, she and Dan were quality friends Gary and I enjoyed and loved for over 55 years. We spent time together raising our families, going on vacations, sharing meals at our homes, attending our children´s weddings, and later Minnesota during retirement after leaving Grand Forks.

Shirley was a loving talented woman who always cared deeply for family and friends while contributing her talent in church and community. Her honor, "Woman of the Year" was well deserved, as she was recognized for her willing heart to do whatever was needed to enhance the community and human condition.

She carried on her Norwegian heritage with her excellent cooking, while always remembering her grandmother who raised her.

My dear friend Shirley, may you rest in the peace and joy you provided all who knew and loved you. Dan welcomed you "home" and now you are living in the hands of God
as a faithful servant: a woman who constantly lived her faith.

My sympathy to Shirley´s wonderful family. I´m grateful to have had all of you in our lives!
My arms surround you as Shirley´s love-filled memories sustain you on your grief journey.

I love you! Sharon Rezac Andersen
