Shirley Hughey Obituary

SHIRLEY J. HUGHEY Shirley's life began on February 3, 1943, in El Dorado, KS, the daughter of Lloyd and Opal (Ehret) Ross. She graduated from the Nursing Program at Butler Community College in 1975. She was united in marriage to Phil Hughey in 1962. Shirley had a deep faith and loved her family fiercely. Her family includes her children, Kim Korrine (Monty) Ehret of Pilot Point, TX, Eldon Wayne Hughey of Baytown, TX, and Monty Lee (Carri) Hughey of El Dorado, KS; 8 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Shirley passed away on September 21, 2025, in Wichita. She is preceded in death by her husband Phil, siblings Lloyd Ross, Jr., Jackie Ross, and Pamela Rojas. Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, September 30, at 1 pm at the First Church of the Nazarene in El Dorado.
