Shirley Johnson Obituary
SHIRLEY JOHNSON - Miss Shirley Nell Johnson, age 74, of Columbus, MS, passed away January 3, 2026, at Trinity Place Retirement Community. Graveside services will be Thursday, January 8, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Lone Oak Church of Christ Cemetery in Steens, MS. Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
Miss Johnson was born February 25, 1951, in Columbus, MS, to the late Mike E. and Iva Nell Ussery Johnson. The was a graduate of Caledonia High School and lifelong resident of Lowndes County. Miss Johnson worked for the Social Security office, the Commercial Dispatch, then retired from Rite Aid. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Charles Johnson.
Survivors include her sister, Florence Ann Stokes of Columbus, MS, 7 nieces and nephews, and 4 great nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to the donor's favorite charity.
