Shirley Ann King, 69, a resident of Magnolia, MS; passed away December 16, 2025, at Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center. Graveside services will be held on Monday, December 22, 2025, in Magnolia cemetery at 2:00 PM. Rev. Paul Rony will officiate. Hartman Jones Funeral Home will be in charge of the arrangements.

Shirley was born in Brinkley, Arkansas on May 26, 1956, to Ed Wallace and Irine Darby Wallace. Shirely was a certified nurse aide for the Villa Feliciana Geriatric Hospital in Jackson, LA for three and a half years, she worked for a construction company for a short time, later in life Shirley worked for the Enterprise Journal as a carrier for twenty-two years. She received the honor of Carrier of the Year in 1997. She was loved by her customers, and always tried to give them the best service, keeping papers dry and delivered timely. Shirley rode with her husband all over the United States and Canada while he was a truck driver, those memories will be cherished by Raymond for many years to come. She was well known and developed friendships with ladies in local stores who looked for her and referred to her lovingly as 'Mama". She loved to look up recipes and enjoyed cooking for her family. Shirley spent time watching The Bold and the Beautiful and the Young and the Restless. She loved the Hallmark channel, and keeping up with the news. Shirley was a friend to many and loved her neighbors dearly and always treated people with respect and kindness. She will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Herbert Lee Wallace, a sister Florence Jean Wallace Gelacio, and a son Michael M. Stratmann, along with her mother-in-law Marjorie G. King Young.

She is survived by her husband Raymond E. King of Magnolia, a son William S. Stratmann of Worden, IL, a step son Jeremy R. King (Samantha) of Jacksonville, FL, a brother Robert L. Wallace of Magnolia, a sister Louise Wallace Billings (Jerry) of Bryant, AR, along with other relatives and many friends and former customers.
