Anna Mae Carraway

Anna Mae Benoit Johnson Carraway, 90, of Houma, LA, formerly of McComb, MS, passed away on January 1, 2026 at Heritage Manor in Houma, LA.

A visitation will be held Sunday, January 4, 2026 at Hartman Jones Funeral Home from 5 PM until 8 PM, continuing Monday, January 5, 2026 from 9 AM until funeral services at 11 AM.

Rev. Patrick Thompson will officiate and burial will be at Mt. Gilead Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. Hartman Jones Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Anna was born on June 15, 1935 to the late Clarence Benoit and Mae Jones Benoit Douell. She enjoyed bowling, dancing and eating seafood. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and her extended family. She will be sadly missed by all those who knew and loved her.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her first husband Marvin R. Johnson; and her second husband Judge Roy Carraway.

She is survived by her two daughters Gayle Scott (Derrell) and Jody Dickerson (Gene); nine grandchildren Angel (James), Michael (Tanya), Jason (Karen), Tyler (Brigett), Trey (Ashley), Christian (Haden), Lacey (Adam), Chris (Brandie) and Jeremy; eighteen great-grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Michael Scott, Jason Scott, Tyler Scott, Trey Scott, Christian Scott, Chris Dickerson and Jeremy Dickerson.
