James W. Lea, 71, a resident of Osyka, MS passed away on March 14, 2026 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.

A visitation will be held Tuesday, March 17, 2026 at Terry's Creek Baptist Church from 11 AM until services at 1 PM. Burial will be in the church cemetery and Bro. Kent Campbell and Dr. David Millican will officiate.

James was born in Magnolia, MS on October 15, 1954 to the late Armond Ray Lea and Avis Wilson Lea. He was a member of Terry's Creek Baptist Church. James was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, hunting, and raising hunting beagles. He was a great provider, who enjoyed taking care and spending time with his family. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend. He will be sadly missed by all those who knew and loved him.

He is preceded in death by his parents and a great-grandchild Kellye-Anna Rae Sistrunk.

He is survived by his wife of 50 loving years Theresa Rimes Lea; two daughters Kellye Elizabeth Sistrunk (Keith) and Brandi Terez Sanders (Nathan); three grandchildren Chloe' Sistrunk O'Neal (Landon), Karrington Sistrunk Ritter (Van), and Charles Tucker Sanders; four great-grandchildren Walker James Sistrunk, Haven Grace Sistrunk, Brynleigh Rae O'Neal, Emery Jean Ritter, and one on the way Parker Leigh O'Neal; two brothers Gerald Ray Lea (Debbie) and Dennis Lea (Ricki); along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Pallbearers will be Corey Lea, Derek Lea, Jeremey Lea, Christopher Lea, Nathan Sanders, and Tucker Sanders. Honorary Pallbearers will be Billy Lee, John Brown, Lloyd Goings, Van Ritter, and Landon O'Neal.
