Shirley Koon Obituary
Born October 27, 1946, in Spartanburg, South Carolina, she was the daughter of the late James Wilson Koon and Cleora Prince Koon. Shirley was a graduate of Limestone College, where she earned a bachelor's degree, and worked for many years as a purchasing manager for Dot Packaging.
Shirley especially enjoyed traveling and exploring nearby places such as Chimney Rock and particularly enjoyed the meaningful trips she shared with her mother through the years.
Shirley is survived by her niece, Robin Fordham, and her husband, Lawrence "Larry" Fordham, and her aunt, Margaret Prince.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Robert Koon and Richard Koon.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, March 30, 2026, at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, with Rev. Tim Worthy officiating.
