Barbara Helen Franklin

Helen Franklin, 88, of Inman, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, March 12, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

Helen was a dedicated cosmetologist for over 60 years. She worked alongside her husband, and together they owned and operated Jack's Superette and BH Stylette (Artistic Styling Salon). She will always be remembered for her kind heart, generous spirit, and the love she showed to everyone she met.

Helen enjoyed life's simple pleasures. She loved spending time with her family, especially playing bingo with her sister, going out to eat, taking short trips to the mountains and the beach, and relaxing in the sunshine by the pool. She also enjoyed reading, working word searches, shopping, watching her favorite television shows, and spending time with her beloved dog, Sadie, who brought her so much joy.

She is survived by her daughter, Sonja Franklin (John); grandsons, Noah Casasanta and Daniel Casasanta, both of Inman; siblings, Ruth Herbert, Brenda Puckett, Freida Cooke, Sheila Delinger, and Billy Hicks, along with their extended families in Elk Park, North Carolina.

She is also survived by her stepdaughter, Barbara Parris (Charles) of Morganton, North Carolina, and their daughter, Katrina Parris of California.

In addition to her family, Helen leaves behind many friends and loved ones who will cherish her memory forever.
