Shirley Krayecki Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Mid-Wisconsin Cremation Society - Schofield on Dec. 22, 2025.
Shirley Ann Krayecki (Jamrosz), 78, of Stevens Point, passed away peacefully on December 18, 2025, following a courageous five-month battle after suffering multiple strokes. Throughout her journey, Shirley remained a fighter; though frustrated by the loss of her speech and mobility, she found every possible way to communicate her love until she finally found her peace.
Born on February 7, 1947, in Stevens Point, Wisconsin to the late Frank and Teckla (Bronk) Jamrosz, Shirley was the definition of feisty and sassy. She was a woman who let you know exactly what she thought, but at her core, she was motivated by a deep, selfless love for others.
Shirley's greatest pride was the life she built with her husband, Roger James Krayecki. Their bond was never more evident than during these final five months, as Roger served as her most devoted caretaker, remaining by her side through every challenge. Her children-Kim, Chris, and Carla-were her heart, and she loved Jody and Scott as her own. While she worked over the years at the Holiday Inn, Copps, and helping with bookwork at Kim's Barrel Inn, the only job that ever truly mattered to her was being a full-time grandma and babysitter for her grandkids and great grandkids that she adored and spoiled rotten.
She loved her home along the Wisconsin River, enjoying warm days outdoors, watching the Game Show Network, and listening to Elvis. Whether she was chauffeuring grandkids, traveling to softball games, or attending dance recitals and musicals, Shirley was always their biggest supporter. She was a daily fixture on the phone with her family and cherished every visit with her brothers and sisters.
The family wishes to express their deepest gratitude to the many caregivers at HomeInstead, and the staff at St. Croix Hospice, with special thanks to Laura, Kaylie, and Alex. They would also like to recognize Amanda and Amber for the extra care and attention they provided to both Shirley and Roger during this trying time. The family truly could not have done it without all of their help.
Shirley is survived by her devoted husband, Roger; her children, Kim (Jody Kluck) Krayecki, Chris Krayecki, and Carla (Scott) Miskowski; siblings Ernie (Sandi) Jamrosz, Ronald (Carol) Jamrosz, and Rosie (Bob)Kieliszewski; her grandchildren, Brooke (Ben) Mahoney, Morgan (Lance) Aeby, Chelsea (Greg Gale) Krayecki, Taylor (TJ) Krayecki, Kyera, and Kaybre Krayecki, as well as many "additional" grandkids she cared for. Her legacy continues in her great-grandchildren, Quinn, Grant (Mahoney), and Miles (Aeby). She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Diane, and brothers James (Jimmy) and Frank Jr.
A Celebration of Life will be held on her upcoming birthday, February 7, 2026, at the Moose Lodge in Stevens Point with details to follow. Shirley taught us all the power of what it means to love deeply and put family first; she will continue to shine bright in our memories.
