Shirley Ann Lassiter, 82, of Greenbrier, Tennessee, passed away on Tuesday, August 20, 2024. Born April 6, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Willis Dyer Pairs, Sr. and Elsie M. Feltz Pairs. A dedicated and hard-working individual, Shirley was known for her remarkable talent as a seamstress, a skill she lovingly passed down to her daughter, Lori. Her craftsmanship not only brought joy to those around her but also created legacies in the form of cherished garments and heartfelt memories.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 52 years, John Franklin Lassiter, Jr.; son Jamie Lassiter; grandson Tyler Lassiter; siblings Mildred Parks, Willis Pairs, Jr., Barbara Denson, and Mary Carter.
Shirley is survived by her beloved family. She was the mother of Timothy (Jenny) Lassiter, Lori Ann (Danny) Pulley, and Wendy (Joe) Crowell, who each carry forward the values she instilled in them throughout their lives. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren, including Dustin Lassiter, Johnathan (Cassie) Lassiter, Jessica (Kyle) Vaughn, Jeffery Pearson, Katie Pearson, Colton (Victoria) Lassiter, Quint Lassiter, and Mackenzie Crowell. Shirley was also a proud great-grandmother to Allie, Bentley, Lakelynn, Bryce, Grayson, Charlye, Harlow and Carolyn, bringing immense joy and love to her life even in her later years.
She also leaves behind her cherished siblings, Dot Smith, James (Alice) Pairs, daughter-in-law Kelli Lassiter, as well as her brother-in-law Billy Parks and sister-in-law Brenda Pairs, all of whom she held dear.
A Visitation in honor of Shirley will take place on Friday, August 23, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Cole & Garrett Funeral Home and Cremation Services located at 212 Highway 76, White House, Tennessee. A Celebration of Life will follow on Saturday, August 24, 2024, beginning at 12:00 PM and concluding at 1:00 PM at the same location. The family will welcome friends and visitors two hours prior to the funeral on Saturday. Burial will follow in White House Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Dustin Lassiter, Johnathan Lassiter, Buddy Pearson, Colton Lassiter, Quint Lassiter, Bentley Birdwell and Bryce Vaughn.
Shirley Ann Lassiter's spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her, yet her influence and love will continue to live on through the many lives she touched.
