Bruce "Spanky" Lomax Duke McClendon

Bruce "Spanky" Lomax Duke McClendon, age 49 of White House passed away Tuesday, October 15, 2025 at NorthCrest Medical Center. He was born November 13, 1975 in Nashville, TN to Thomas Ray McClendon, Sr. & Lila Violet Duke McClendon. He worked in sales for East Coast Metals. He enjoyed coach and playing baseball, playing golf, decorating, home renovation and attending his kid's activities. He was an avid Heritage football and baseball fan. He is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his loving wife of 18 years, Jean McClendon, White House, TN; sons, Jackson Conrad McClendon, Clarksville, TN, Justin Remigus McClendon and Jesse Ray McClendon, both of White House, TN his dog, Meatball; brothers, Thomas R. McClendon, Jr. and Carlton Dean McClendon, both of Madison, TN; sisters, Donna M. (Johnny) Angell, Cottontown, TN, Karen M. (Mario) Carrillo, Madison, TN and Jackie Gauthier, Boston, MA; 20 nieces and nephews. A memorial service is being planned for Saturday, October 25, 2025 at White House First United Methodist Church at 12pm with Pastor Paul Edwards officiating. Visitation is planned Saturday, October 25, 2025, 10am-12pm at the church. Light refreshments and snacks will be provided during the visitation, and a meal will also be provided following the service.
