Shirley Lockett Obituary
She was predeceased by the love of her life Americo (Sparkey) Lockett; her parents Wilhelmina and Theodore Busch; her sister Elizabeth (Eugene) Brewer; her in-laws Angelo and Teresa Lockett; her sister-in-law Josephine (Anthony) Panella; her brothers-in-law John (Matilda) Lockett, Michael (Anna) Lockett, Vincent J. Lockett and Vera Fasoli. She is survived by her loving children Bonnie (Michael) Sissenstein, Robert (Ann) Lockett, and Linda (Byron) James; six grandchildren Christopher (Jacquelyn) Curry, Marissa (Bob) Marvin, Gina (Lucas) Taylor, Richelle (Niccolo) Stento, Nicole (David) Hettinger, Nicolas (Madyson) James; six great-grandchildren Dylen, Riley, Evan, Aubrey, Jack and Sloan; one great-great-grandson Cryson; also several nieces and nephews.
She was a wonderful mother who had a very sweet disposition. She adored her family and was always there when they needed her. She enjoyed spending time in Florida with her husband and spending time with family at her cottage. She enjoyed eating at the Broadway Diner and trips to the casinos with her husband. She lived life to its fullest and she will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
The family would like to thank Fr. Clarence F. Rumble and the caring staff of Mercy House. A Funeral Mass will be held Thursday January 12, 2023 at The Church of the Holy Family 3600 Phyllis St. Endwell at 11:00 AM. The family will receive friends at the church on Thursday from 10:00 AM until time of Mass at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in her memory to either Mercy House, 212 N. McKinley Ave. Endicott, NY 13760 or Mother Teresa's Cupboard, 202 Garfield Ave. Endicott, NY 13760.
