Shirley Ann McCarty

On January 3, Shirley passed peacefully surrounded by her family in Cedar Park, TX. She was born on March 4, 1930 in Burlington, WI, the daughter of Herbert and Margaret (Voss) Koenig. Formerly of Downers Grove, Shirley and her husband John Harmon McCarty moved to Austin, TX in 1996. He preceded her in death. Shirley was the proud mother of Patricia (George) Stoneham, Barry (Susan) and the late Brian (Barbara); grandmother of Megan (Brett) Cullen, and Kevin (Taylor) and Timothy Stoneham; great-grandmother of Benjamin and Meredith Cullen, Madelyn McCarty and Elenore Sanchez Stoneham; sister of the late William (Gail) Koenig. Visitation 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday January 14 at Hallowell & James Funeral Home, 301-75th St., Downers Grove.
