Shirley Ann Messina

ACCORD - Shirley Ann Messina, 74, a resident of Accord since 2016, died peacefully at home on June 21, 2025. She previously lived in East Fishkill and Mount Kisco.
Born in Tokyo, Japan on October 29, 1950, Shirley was the daughter of the late Eugene and Sueko (Yamazaki) Ford. She was a graduate of Fox Lane High School in Bedford. On March 30, 1968, in Mount Kisco, she married Anthony J. Messina, who predeceased her on April 13, 2023 after 55 years of marriage.
Shirley enjoyed cooking and baking, and liked taking care of animals. More than anything, she loved spending time with her family.
Shirley is survived by her children, Tammy Messina and her fiancé Walt of Salt Point, Anthony Messina of Accord, Timothy Messina and his wife Molly of New Paltz, Tracy Burton and her husband Damon of Guilderland, and Jason Messina and his wife Liz of Hyde Park; 16 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and her sister, Mary Lou Ford.
In addition to her husband and parents, Shirley was also just recently predeceased by her daughter-in-law, Stephanie Messina on June 20, 2025; and her granddaughter, Kelly Messina in 1994.
