JONESBORO - Shirley Jean Morris passed away on Monday, Jan. 12, 2026, in Jonesboro, at the age of 87. She was born Sept. 13, 1938, in Amory, Miss., to Melvin and Ruby West Brown.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Frank Morris; three brothers, Dwight Brown, Rodney Brown, and Donald "Bo" Brown; one sister, Dorothy Isbell Robinson; and one grandson, Harold Morris.
Shirley is survived by one son, Larry Morris (Linda) of Marmaduke; one daughter, Tina Roig (Jacob) of San Francisco, Calif.; two sisters, Joyce Patsy Williams of Anderson, S.C., and Linda Cox (Richard) of West Memphis; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, Jan. 16, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home in Tyronza. Funeral service will be today, at 1 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home in Tyronza, with Reverend Mark Gasque officiating. Interment will follow at Shady Grove Cemetery in Clarendon, Ark.
Arrangements are under the care of Wilson Funeral Home in Tyronza.
