Shirley A. Rafferty

1941 - 2025

Shirley Ann Rafferty (Kuba) passed away at 10:20 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 9, 2025, joining her parents and husband. Her loving son Bill was by her side to hold her hand. Her journey back to God's arms began on July 23, 1941, when she was born to Joseph and Helen (Gergely) Kuba in Latrobe. Growing up in Bradenville, she was the eldest child and older sister to Helen, Jani, and Joe. Along the way she married William Rafferty on May 29, 1965, and moved to Michigan. Together they had two children, Billy, who married Lori, and Kevin, who married Wendy. She was Grandma to Emma, Megan, Konnor, and Matthew. She worked at Kennametal, Chrysler, and Dell Products and retired from Gage Products. She belonged to Christian Mothers and Women and Card Club, where she played poker, euchre, and pinochle. She had various other hobbies over the years, including bowling, square dancing, traveling, enjoying good food, and watching Hallmark movies. Visitation will be held from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 14, 2025, at MANDZIUK & SONS FUNERAL HOME. Memorial services will be held at St. Anne's Catholic Church at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 15, 2025. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made by mailing a check to St. Anne Church, 32000 Mound Road, Warren, MI 48092, noting Shirley Rafferty, Christian Women.
