Shirley Ann Reinhart

1936 - 2025

Shirley Ann Reinhart, 89, of Big Run, passed away at home on Saturday, Aug. 16, 2025.
She was born in Punxsutawney on June 6, 1936, and was a daughter of the late George Weisdock and Ethel (Heishman) Weisdock.
She was the wife of Richard Lee Reinhart. They enjoyed over 50 years of marriage together, prior to his death on March 2, 2012.
Shirley was a member of the Pleasant Grove Presbyterian Church, where she was also the clerk of sessions.
Mrs. Reinhart worked as the secretary in the guidance office of Punxsutawney Area High School prior to her retirement.
She was a woman who found joy in the simple, quiet moments of life, often with a book in her hand or a sewing project across her lap. She loved to quilt because she was creating a treasured gift made with love for her family and friends.
She is survived by three sons, Larry (Chris) Reinhart of Punxsutawney, Gary (Nancy) Reinhart of Big Run, and Richard (Katherine) Reinhart of Big Run; seven grandchildren, Josh Reinhart, Michele Reinhart, Michael Reinhart, Hannah (Myles) Merchant, Ian (Caitlyn) Reinhart, Jesse Reinhart and Jakoby Reinhart; and six great-grandchildren, River and Skylar Reinhart, Aveline and Waylon Merchant, Luke and Aria Reinhart.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and three brothers, Paul, Ronald and Donald Weisdock.
In accordance with her wishes, there will be no visitation. Arrangements have been entrusted to Shumaker Funeral Home, Inc., Big Run.
