Shirley Ann Roberts

Funeral services for Shirley Ann Roberts will be held on Thursday, January 29, 2026 at 1:00 P.M. at the First Assembly of God Church, Haskell, Oklahoma. Rev. Donald Hogue, Jr. will officiate. Burial will follow at Haskell, Cemetery. Pallbearers include: Chris Roberts, Dillon Roberts, Sam Roberts, Ryan Lechner, Casey Campbell, and Blake Campbell. Viewing hours will be from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM on Wednesday, January 28th at the Dowdy-Marker Funeral Home.

Shirley Ann Roberts was born on February 5, 1940, in Haskell, Oklahoma to Harlan Harrison and Rowena (Martin) Harrison. She passed from this life on January 21, 2026, in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 85 years, 11 months, and 16 days.

Shirley grew up in Haskell, Oklahoma and was a 1958 graduate of Haskell High School. She went on to marry her husband, Wayne Roberts, in Bixby, Oklahoma and they were blessed with three sons, Dewayne, Don and Bobby.

Shirley was a long-time member of the First Assembly of God Church in Haskell where she was involved in many different areas. She loved her family, and they could always count on her to babysit for whomever needed her. She was an excellent seamstress, owning several high-end machines. She enjoyed sewing or crocheting for her loved ones and riding in the side by side.

After Wayne's death in 1992, Shirley continued to work and support herself. Her working career included jobs at Fabricut and Thomas & Bettes. Her most cherished job was that of being a remarkable homemaker. Her family describes Shirley as being reserved, modest, loving and kind. They count it a true blessing that she did not have to suffer long and is now in the presence of her Lord and Savior.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Harlan and Rowena Harrison, her husband, Wayne Roberts, two grandsons, Matthew Don Roberts and Jesse Roberts, and her sister Deloris Hedge.

Shirley leaves her three sons and their spouses: Dewayne and Tammy Roberts, Don and Sammie Roberts, and Bobby and Paula Roberts, seven grandchildren: Shawnna (Brian) Lechner, Ashley (Klint) Morgan, Chris Roberts, Chelsea Roberts, Jamie (Taylor) Smith, Dillon (Michelle) Roberts, and Sam Roberts, numerous great-grandchildren, other family members, church family and friends.
