Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc. - West ReadingShirley Campbell Roland, 91, formerly of Oley, passed away on December 4, 2025, at Keystone Villa, Douglassville.
She was the loving wife of David Hafer Roland. They were married on January 28, 1961, and enjoyed 63 years of marriage until his passing on April 26, 2024.
Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Wilbur D. Campbell and Elizabeth (Major) Campbell Lindenmuth.
She was a graduate of Reading High School.
Shirley was a member of Community Evangelical Congregational Church, Sinking Spring, where she was a Sunday School teacher for over 40 years. She was a member of the Woman's Club of Reading and volunteered at the Woman's Exchange and Reading Hospital Auxiliary. Her focus was her family, especially her grandchildren, her church family, and serving others. She was a gentle spirit who loved and served the Lord.
She is survived by her children, David C. Roland (Esther J.), and Elizabeth A. Roland (Robert V. Bowdish); her grandchildren: Aaron D. Roland, Luke D. Eshbach, Adam D. Roland, Kyle R. Eshbach, Hannah E. Roland, and Leah E. Eshbach; and her great-grandchildren: Kilee R. Eshbach, Elena N. Roland, Chase R. Eshbach, and Elodie M. Roland.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. at Community Evangelical Church, 51 Green Valley Road, Sinking Spring, PA 19608, with interment at Laureldale Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Shirley's honor to the Hope Rescue Mission at 645 N. 6th St, Reading, PA 19601, or the Community Evangelical Church at the address above.
