Shirley Rouse Obituary

A graveside funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 12, 2024, at 2:00 PM in the mausoleum at Pinewood Memorial Park, officiated by Rev. Greg Carswell.
Mrs. Rouse, daughter of the late Charlie and Zeola Todd Ross, was a native of Pitt County. She lived her early life in the Black Jack community and was a graduate of Chicod School. She lived much of her adult life in the Belvoir community and later made her home in the Ayden community. She worked many years with Prep Shirt Manufacturing and later retired from ECU. She had attended the Greenville Church of God, Calvary Baptist Church, and most recently, Freedom Baptist Church in Ayden.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Rouse was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Allen Rouse, and daughter, Jackie Lynn Rouse, and a son, Billy (Bud) Rouse.
She is survived by sons, Kenneth A. (Allen) Rouse, Jr. and wife, Bonnie of Winterville, Glenwood (Glen) Rouse and wife, Sandy, of Ayden, and Michael Rouse of Greenville; brother, Wayland Ross; sisters, Barbara Jean Skinner and Jeannette Scholle; nine grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
