Survived by one son, Phillip (Brenda) Russell of Salyersville, Kentucky, one daughter, Carlotta (Ronald) Hensley of Salyersville, Kentucky, one sister, Kolean Fugett of Salyersville, Kentucky, two grandchildren, Jason Phillip Russell, Wesley Shane Hensley, two great granddaughters, Parker Lillian Russell, and Steele Alice White.
In addition to her parents, Shirley is preceded in death by her husband, Branard Russell, five brothers, Hurbert Jenkins, Edward Jenkins, Ervin Jenkins, Charles Jenkins, Herbert "Hub" Jenkins, three sisters, Dorothy Jenkins, Bernice Lyon, and Alma Arnett.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Sunday, November 02, 2025 from the Magoffin County Funeral Chapel with John Blanton officiating. Burial will follow in the Mose Howard Cemetery at Coon Creek, Kentucky. Friends may visit the funeral home Saturday, November 01, 2025 from 6:00 P.M. and any time prior to funeral services.
