Mrs. Shirley Payne Ryken, 87, of Graceville, Florida, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, February 25, 2025. Mrs. Shirley was born January 3, 1938, in Graceville to the late Willie and Eula Mae Phillips Payne.
After graduating from Campbellton High School in 1956, she married the love of her life Mr. Robert "Bob" Ryken. She worked for many years as manager at Jr. Food Store in Graceville. She loved her family, arts and crafts, gardening, and watching the cows. She was an active member of First Baptist Church in Graceville where she served in various capacities.
Mrs. Shirley is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, as well as her daughter, Rebecca "Becky" Barnes; her brother, Robert Earl Payne, William "Bug" Payne, sister, Edna Corbin; and daughter-in-law, Patricia Ryken
She is survived by two sons, David Ryken and Johnny Ryken (Alesia); six grandchildren, Joshua Ryken, Danielle Hall, Robbie Waldron (Tanya), Cory Waldron (Terri), Summer Martin (Damian), Savannah Ryken; fourteen great grandchildren, brother-in-law, Ed Ryken, several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of her life will be held, 11:00 AM, Friday, February 28, 2025, at First Baptist Church, Graceville with Dr. Naethan Hendrix and Rev. Addis Habbard officiating. Burial will follow in the New Hope Cemetery with James & Lipford Funeral Home directing.
The family will receive friends Friday at the church 10 a.m. until time of service.
