Shirley Jean Setzer, 87, of Sheboygan Falls, passed away on Tuesday, February 13, 2024, at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice.
Shirley was born to Carl and Florence (Newlon) Lund on August 11, 1936, in Stanley, WI. She graduated from Stanley High School. Shirley was united in marriage to Edward Setzer on August 28, 1954. She held many jobs over the years, but the most rewarding, being a loving wife and mother.
Shirley was an avid fan of the Milwaukee Brewers, Green Bay Packers, and all Wisconsin sports teams. She enjoyed playing sheepshead, bunko, and going camping. Shirley was talented at sewing wedding, bridesmaids, and flower girl dresses. More than anything, Shirley loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Shirley is survived by her husband of 69 years, Edward; children, Cheryl (Butch) Clevers, Larry (Shirley) Setzer, Donna (Randy) Deeley, Mike (Emmy) Setzer, Dan (Renee) Setzer, Diane (Art) Stolzmann, Lisa (Dan) DeTroye, Ricky Setzer; grandchildren, Candy, Crystal, Becky, Erin, Jessica, Jamie, Jeremy, Alek, Danielle, Dylan, Drew, Dustin, Josh, Stephanie, Ashley, Matt, Damon, Samantha, Curtis, Alicia; 33 great-grandchildren. She is further survived by her siblings-in-law, Cathy Setzer, Jeanine Setzer, and Joe Licht; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; parents-in-laws; infant daughter, Linda; 4 brothers; 4 sisters; and 7 siblings-in-law.
A funeral service to celebrate her life will be held at Wenig Funeral Home in Sheboygan Falls on Sunday, February 25, 2024, at 3:00pm with Pastor Nathan Strom officiating. Private family entombment will take place at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
Relatives and friends may greet the family at the funeral home from 1:00pm until the time of service.
Memorials are appreciated in Shirley’s name.
