She was born March 8, 1939 in Wheeling, WV to Marie (Clark) Baier.
Shirley enjoyed spending time with her family and going to lunch with her friends.
In addition to her mother, she is preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Phillip Shapaka; her brothers, Robert Baier, Jack Baier, and Charles Baier; and her sisters, Joan Baier, Betty Hoyo, and Gloria Francis.
She is survived by her sister, Carole Lemons, of Wheeling, and several nieces and nephews.
In accordance with Shirley's wishes, there will be no services. Arrangements by Kepner Funeral Home, 166 Kruger St. Wheeling (304-242-2311).
