Shirley Slatton – Age 89 of Franklin, TN passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 24, 2025. She was born on December 17, 1935, in Sanford, Florida.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Gerald K. Slatton and her mother, Georgia Reel. She is survived by her brother, Roy (Bobbie) Reel; her two daughters, Cynthia Slatton and Nancy Slatton Sells (Charles); grandson, Charlie (Hayley) Sells; and granddaughter, Kinsley (Garrett) Crothers. She was the proud great-grandmother of Everett and Cavitt Sells and Callie, Lofton and Jett Carothers.

She worked at Lipscomb University for 30 years, rising to the position of Director of Financial Aid.

She was a devoted member of Crieve Hall Church of Christ.

A graveside service for immediate family will be held on Thursday, October 2, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Woodlawn Cemetery.

Donations may be made to the Pat Summit Foundation.
