Funeral service for Shirley Downs Smith, 85, will be Friday, July 18, 2025 at 3:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. David Smith officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Bell Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, July 17, 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home.

Mrs. Smith passed away on Tuesday, July 15, 2025 at her residence. She was born October 6, 1939, in Morgan County, to Oneal E. Downs and Virgie McReath Downs.

She was employed in the Greenhouse at Summerford Nursing Home, prior to her retirement. She was a member of Hope Church and was a long-time member of Barnett's Chapel. She loved the Lord, had a close walk with God, and was a Prayer Warrior. She loved flowers and tending them and could grow anything.

Preceding her in death were her husband- Bro Herbert Smith, her sons- Larry Dona Smith and Randy Smith and her parents.

Survivors include
Son - David Smith,

Daughter - Lynn Long (Andy),

Grandchildren -
Drew Long (Kristen),
Jesse Long (Serra),
Logan Smith and
Jenna Smith.

Great Grandchildren -
Sawyer Long,
Harper Long,
Teag Long,
Audrey Roberts,
Brenlee Long, and
Zeke Smith.

Pallbearers will be Drew Long, Jesse Long, Logan Smith, Rodney Johnson, Austin Chaney, and Dakota Fricks.
