Shirley enjoyed cooking & spending time with her immediate & church families. She shared so many fond memories from outings & trips taken with her Sunday school class & the special friendships she made there that meant so much to her. An avid Alabama fan she & husband Bobby traveled many miles in their motor home over the course of 40 years to support & watch the Tide Roll wherever they were playing or just spending a few days at Tannehill State Park. But without a doubt what she enjoyed most was being with her grandkids…they were her world. She kept them until they started school as daycare wasn't an option nor did it even really exist in her vocabulary. She wanted to make sure she didn't miss one hug, smile or chance to comfort them when needed. If she could have gotten paid for every knee she mended or tear she wiped away she would have been the richest woman alive but the money would have meant nothing to her as opposed to the love and joy her grandkids gave her. One thing's for sure anyone could have replaced her…but no one could have ever taken her place.
