Shirley Marie Stevens, 89, passed away Friday, February 20, 2026 in Rose Hill, KS. Shirley was born in Newburg, AR to the late Marvin Roddy and Cornelia and her loving husband James "Bud" Shoemaker. She was also preceded in death by her 1st husband, James Haynes; 2nd husband, Omer Stevens; daughter, Susan Haynes; brother, Kenneth Roddy and sister, Melvalea and husband, Harold Kindrick. Shirley is survived by her children, Barbara (Steve) Forbes, Ricky Haynes and Teresa Haynes; brothers, Roy (Vickie) Roddy and Winston and (Colleen) Roddy; sisters, Donna Smith, Kathy (Jerry) Phipps; grandchildren, Aaron, Seth, Genna, Melissa, Daniel, Christopher, Jenny, Jessica, Lisa, Andrea and several great and great-great grandchildren; and her loyal dog companion, Baby. Shirley deeply cherished spending time with her family and after retirement she and Steve enjoyed traveling together. Shirley will be greatly missed by her family and all that knew her.
