Shirley Stiemann Obituary
Born June 16, 1929, in Meadville, Pennsylvania, Shirley was the beloved daughter of Alfred and Gladys Gustafson. She graduated from Wheaton College with a bachelor's degree in Christian Education. After several years of teaching, she married William (Bill) Stiemann in 1956 and became a homemaker shortly after marrying. Bill and Shirley were married for nearly 62 years before Bill's death parted them in 2018.
Shirley was devoted to her loving Savior, Jesus Christ, and she shared her faith in her Savior with everyone she met. She played piano right until the end of her life and had a beautiful voice. Husband Bill was an ordained minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and they ministered in various locations during their life together in New York and New Jersey. Later in life Shirley lived in Florida and then Nebraska with her sons.
She is survived by sons Mark William Stiemann of Omaha, NE, Timothy Jon Stiemann (and Olguita) of Houston, TX, Theodore Paul Stiemann (and Sheryl) of Sanford, FL, 7 grandchildren: Kyle, Jesse, Josiah, Amanda, Timmy, Toby, Christy, and 5 great grandchildren: Jules, Roland, Elon, Leon, Oliver. In addition to husband Bill, Shirley is predeceased by her parents, Alfred and Gladys, brother Ed, sisters Muriel and Helen, and a grandson Theodore Paul (Teddy) Stiemann.
A memorial service celebrating Shirley's life will be held on Monday, June 16, 2025, 11:00 AM at River Oaks Presbyterian Church, 385 Washington Ave, Lake Mary, FL 32746.
