May 19, 1935 – January 1, 2025
Shirley H. Stubbs (Harris) 89 of Cumming, Georgia, passed away peacefully on January 1, 2025 in Cumming, Georgia. Born May 19, 1935, in Cambridge, Massachusetts, to Peter J (Haramaras) Harris and Mary Glaze. Her father was born in Greece and emigrated to the United States in 1916. The family relocated to Jacksonville, Florida during World War II.
She married Charles A. Stubbs, June 1, 1957, and had two sons, Steve and Scott. The family relocated to multiple cities before settling in Boca Raton, Florida in 1968. She became an avid tennis player and a founding member of the Boca Raton Jaycettes, a community service organization for women.
She was married for 32 years, until Charlie passed away in 1989, and she then embarked on a life-long love of travel and antique hunting. Shirley relocated to Cumming, Georgia in 1994 to be near her family. She enjoyed many adventures with her two sons throughout the years to follow. Her son Steve passed away in 2017.
She cherished her personal relationships and is survived by her son Scott A. Stubbs (Diane) of Cumming, Georgia, daughter-in-law Sandy Stubbs of Alpharetta, Georgia and grandchildren Marco Garcia, Allie Johnson, Taylor Stubbs, Natassja Goodermote, Tristan Stubbs, her great grandchildren Holloway Johnson, River Johnson and Gigi Garcia.
