Mrs. Shirley Ann (Hunt) Volner, 82, of Harrisburg, Arkansas departed this life Sunday, April 6, 2025 at Flo & Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro, Arkansas. Shirley was born March 12, 1943 in Harrisburg, Arkansas, the daughter of Thomas Wayne and Mildred (Dunn) Hunt. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Billy Carl Volner, two brothers: Johnny Wayne Hunt and Harold Paul Hunt. She was of the Baptist faith and a member of Shiloh Baptist Church in Harrisburg. She was a homemaker and worked several years as Administrative Assistant at Harrisburg High School. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, cooking, and spending time with family and friends. She is survived by one son, Gregory Carl Volner of Harrisburg, two daughters: Debra (David) Mangis also of Harrisburg, and Laura (John) Wofford of Brookings, South Dakota, four grandchildren: Jordan Volner, Madeleine Volner, David (Rachel) Wofford and Sarah Wofford, two step-grandchildren: Stephanie Cook and Melissa Mangis, one great-grandson, Lincoln Wofford. Graveside Service will begin at 11:00 A. M. Wednesday, April 9, 2025 at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in Birdeye, Arkansas. Arrangements are by Jackson's Funeral Home.
