Shirley Ann (Tounget) Webb was born November 20, 1944 in Ballinger, Texas to Arlis & Robbie Tounget. She graduated in 1963 from Ballinger High School and in 1966 from Howard Payne University.

She married John Webb on July 30, 1966 and began teaching elementary school in Carrollton Farmers Branch. She taught for three years before beginning her family with John, Jr. in 1969, followed by Shelly in 1971 and Jay in 1975. She was a devoted housewife and mom and spent her life serving her family, church, and community. In addition to serving in many ways at Ovilla Road Baptist Church, she enjoyed working the elections. Her hobbies included maintaining her beautiful yard as well as the grounds at Ovilla Road Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Arlis & Robbie Tounget; her in-laws, Robert G. and Bernice Cleere; her infant sister, Janis; and her sister, Donna Michelle; husband, John Webb; and son, Jay Webb.

She is survived by her son, John, Jr.; her daughter Shelly and son-in-law Mike Gribble; three granddaughters: Delayna & Jairo Arteaga; Halley & Robert Foster: and Hannah Gribble: two great-grandchildren: Mateo Arteaga and Riot Rose Foster, as well as numerous cousins and countless precious friends.

The family would like to pay a special thanks to the "angels" who took such wonderful care of Shirley: Katrina & Tamika Thompson, Alicia Grover, Carol Arnold, and Janice Denning. 

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Wayne Boze Funeral Home with a visitation beginning at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow the service at Shiloh Cumberland Cemetery in Ovilla, Texas.
