Shirley Mary Webb passed away on November 24, 2025. She was born on January 20, 1940 to Angelina B Gosselin Hewey and Alfred M. Hewey in Springfield, VT. Shirley and her husband Cordis moved to Florida from Ohio in 1994. Her faith in Jesus Christ and her family were most important to her. She loved to sing and dance at every opportunity and her family loved it when she did. Shirley's other passion was quilting. She hand made quilts for each of her children, for every grandchild, and great grandchild. She also quilted and personalized Christmas stockings for every grandchild and great grandchild. Shirley was a long time member of the Owl Creek Baptist Church and a former member of the Morgan Center Grange both in Mount Vernon, OH. These two places were very important to her as she fondly remembered and loved the members. Shirley was preceded in death by the love of her life, Cordis Webb in 2003. They have four children; Donna Benge (OH), Cathy (Jan) Veenema (NC), Karen (Jay) Crouch (FL), and William (Tina) Webb (OH). They also have 14 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren. She is survived by five siblings; Alfred (Barbara) Hewey (NH), Angelina Tomes (OH), Mary Jane Smith (FL), Raymond Wilkins (FL), and Cathy Smith (FL). She also leaves behind many, many nieces and nephews whom she loved. She was also proceeded in death by her 2nd husband, Gene Williams, her parents, son-in-law, Martin Winkelman, daughter-in-law, Debbie Webb, a special and beloved brother-in-law, Newman Tomes, and 5 siblings; Beatrice Prior Towsley, Donald Hewey, Richard Hewey, Vern Wilkins, and Avis Wilkins. Shirley's legacy was her family and she was loved by every member. She will be remembered all the days of their lives. A celebration of life will take place in the summer of 2026 in Ohio where she will be joined with her husband, Cordis at the Owl Creek Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to Cornerstone Hospice of Tavares, FL.
