Shirley Jane Spears White, born in Lake City, Tn. on September 2, 1937 to the late Claude and Ella Bullock Spears, went to be with her Savior on Saturday, February 1, 2025 at the age of 87.
Shirley made her home in Clinton, Tn. She attended and graduated from Knoxville Business College and the Tennessee School of Beauty. Shirley was a very busy and well known hairdresser for 37 years, then continued to do what she loved in her home for another 10 years.
Shirley had a quick wit and kept her friends and family laughing with her one of a kind personality.
She is preceded in death by her parents: Claude and Ella Bullock Spears; sisters: Wilma Spears and Loretta Simpson; brother: Mickey Spears; great-grandson: Sawyer Carroll.
Survivors include her daughters: Mitzi White Baker, and Paula White Carroll (Dusty); sons: Christopher White and Jeff White (Frances); grandchildren: Stephanie Carroll (Daniel), Tyson Baker, Kayla Baker and Danielle Coffey; great-grandchildren: Laken, Oliver, Layne and Emery; special friends: Dianne Goff, Richard Swartz, Shawnta Glenn; grand-dog: Mr. Knoxville Baker.
The family would like to thank the caring staff and nurses at Lyons View Health & Rehabilitation Center, and a special thanks to Becky Patton, Bethany Walker and Marshall Tillman.
Friends may visit with the White Family from 5:00 p.m. until time of the funeral service at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 4, 2025 in the Chapel of Jones Mortuary with Bro Ronald Wilson officiating.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 5, 2025 in the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.
