Tallahassee - Shirley E. Thomas, 67, died Thursday, July 22, 2021.
Funeral service will be 11 A.M. Saturday, July 31, 2021 at Philadelphia P.B. Church with burial at Oakland Cemetery. Viewing will be from 11 A.M. to 6 P.M. Friday, July 30, 2021 at Strong & Jones Funeral Home.
Survivors include one son, Sheldon Caldwell; two daughters, Monique Rivers and Lauren Olivia White; two brothers, Otis Tucker and Alexander Wynn; four sisters, Annette Eummer, Bobbie Bates, Doris Hall and Irigene White; three grandchildren, Aaron, Keenan and Khloe Rivers; and a host of other relatives and friends.

God Bless Shirley.
Now Shirley and Cookie are back together. I remember Shirley going through the path from her home on Abraham Street to Cookie's home on Griffin Street and vice versa, with Cookie going through the same Path to Shirley's home.
I was at my Aunt's Nursery/Day care , across the Street as youngster and Cookie and Shirley were teenagers in the flower of their youth. Shirley and cookie were very pleasant to look upon. I can remember them like it was yesterday.
They both were beautiful girls who turned out to be even more beautiful women. When you would see one, you would see the other.
Those were the Great days when we were all going to Dade Street Recreational Center and Robinson-Trueblood Swimming pool.
Springfield/ Northside will never be the same.
God bless Shirley and God bless the White and Thomas family.
