Uecker-Witt Funeral HomeShirley M. Wild, age 91, of Fond du Lac, passed away on Friday, October 17, 2025, at Tarfa Terrace Assisted Living. Shirley was born on October 16, 1934, at the family farm in the Town of Forest, Fond du Lac County, the daughter of Clarence J. Krug and Viola E. (Miller) Krug.
Shirley was a 1952 graduate of Fond du Lac Senior High School. She retired from Moraine Park Technical College as Operations Supervisor for Academic Affairs in 1996 after 30 years of service. Shirley loved volunteering at the Fond du Lac Senior Center for many years and always looked forward to spending time there. She enjoyed traveling the world, greeting at St. Mary’s Church, and was a member of Holy Family Parish. Shirley married Arnold W. Collien in 1954. He passed away in 1964. She married Harley L. Wild in 1966 until they divorced in 1975.
Survivors include three sons, Michael J. (Kathryn) Collien and their three sons, Ryan (Maddy Krahn), Matthew, and Tyler of Fond du Lac; Patrick H. (Susie Ballantyne) Wild and his two sons, Mitchell (Billie) and Jonathan; and Thomas J. (Amy Schingen) Wild; her brother Donald G. (Charlene Kibbe) Krug; and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Arnold Collien; her second husband, Harley Wild; two brothers, Milton (Susan) Krug and Herbert Krug.
Visitation will take place on Monday, November 3, 2025, from 10:00 AM until 12 noon at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow the visitation at the funeral home at 12 noon. Burial will follow the service at St. Charles Cemetery.
