Shirley Williams was born March 19,1946 in Terrell, Texas to Walter and Rena Williams. She graduated from Burnett High School in 1964.
She was united in marriage to Oscar Wiliams Jr. and blessed with three children Sonya Wiliams, Nichole Williams, and Oscar David Williams III. Shirley worked at Terrell State Hospital and as head chef at Bonanza until their closing. She was a member of Mount Olive Baptist Church for several years where she served as Youth Director, President of Usher Board and BTU. Later she united with Bethlehem Baptist Church and served in many capacities including president of the Usher Board until her health failed her.
Shirley had an impeccable sense of style and was known to be fashionably dressed from head to toe.
Shirley was preceded in death by daughter, Sonya Williams, and her parents, Walter and Rena Williams. She leaves to cherish her memories, daughter Nicole Williams and son Oscar David Williams III; sister Beverly Jones; five grandchildren Keiosha Williams, Antwone Williams, Daron Wards Jr., Amaya LaSonya Williams, Olivia Williams; great grandchildren Keionta Williams, Journey Williams, Ajhonna Williams, Aja Williams, Austin Williams; one niece Cassandra Price, one nephew Ronnie Price, the Ford family and a host of cousins, relatives and friends.
