Shirley Lee Wolf, 81 of Lewiston, passed away at home on Thursday, August 28, 2025.

Born in Lewiston, she was the daughter of Robert and Alice (McKenzie) Turppa. The family also lived in Atlanta, where Shirley graduated from Atlanta High School in 1962.

On September 11, 1965, Shirley and Elmo Wolf were married in Lewiston. For a few years they lived in Lapeer before moving back up north to Hillman, and later to Lewiston.

Shirley for 27 years as a teller and loan officer at Lewiston State Bank in Atlanta, which later became First of America, then National City Bank, and finally PNC.

Shirley faithfully attended First Congregational Church in Lewiston for many years.

In her spare time, she enjoyed quilting, sewing, baking, and gardening. She also enjoyed morel mushroom hunting and wild berry picking, as well as games and puzzles.

Shirley is survived by Elmo, her husband of 60 years; her children, Dale Wolf of LaGrange, GA, Marlene Schlak of Lewiston, and Cambra Wolf of Waterford; a granddaughter, Olivia Schlak of Branchland, WV; a sister, Candace (Rick) Fox of Hessel; brothers, Robert (Bonnie Jean) Turppa of Lewiston, and John (Debbie) Turppa of LaGrange, GA; a sister-in-law, Mary Helen Turppa; and their families.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Alice Turppa; and a brother, William Turppa.

A memorial service will be held at 11:30 AM Thursday, September 4, 2025, at Gaylord Community Funeral Home & Cremation Service where visitation with the family will begin at 10:00 AM. Interment will be held at a later time at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Johannesburg.
