Shonnette Bischoff Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Cantlon-Otterness & Viets Funeral Home - Buffalo on Jan. 20, 2026.
Shonnette Bischoff (Jones),age 77, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love, generosity, and unwavering devotion to her family. She was born on February 12, 1948, in Red Oak, Iowa, where her life journey began and where her caring spirit first took root. Shonnette was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, and her sister. She is now reunited with them in heaven. She is lovingly survived by her devoted husband, Rick Bischoff; her two brothers; her children; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and many cherished nieces and nephews. Above all else, Shonnette cherished her family. Her pride and joy were her children and the many grandchildren she adored. She delighted in telling anyone who would listen about her 40 grandchildren. She is survived by her two children, Tonya Cruse and Terry Frye. Through Tonya, Shonnette was blessed with four grandchildren (Jeffrey, Christopher, Trey, and Tyler Cruse) and seven great-grandchildren, each of whom held a special place in her heart. Through Terry, she was blessed with seven grandchildren (Jessica Croan, Cinnamon Ruck, Ashley Frye, Kimmy Frye, Lilliana Frye, Adam Frye, and Colby Frye) and many great-grandchildren, whom she loved deeply and spoke of often. Shonnette was known for her selfless nature and her deep compassion for others. She lived her life putting everyone else first, often without regard for her own needs. If someone needed help, she gave it-without hesitation, without expectation, and without question. Her kindness extended beyond immediate family to her nieces, nephews, and all who were fortunate enough to know her. Those who knew Shonnette will remember her as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, and as a woman whose heart was always open. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her love, generosity, and the countless lives she touched will continue to live on through her family. Cremation rites have been entrusted to Cantlon-Otterness & Viets Funeral Home, Buffalo, Missouri.
