Shpëtim Berki Obituary Our dear father, Shpëtim Berki, 85, of Willowick, Ohio, passed away peacefully in the early hours of Thursday, August 21, in Willoughby, Ohio.
Shpëtim was a beloved husband, father, brother, and grandfather who lived a full and productive life, touching the lives of so many who knew him. As a devoted father and long-time teacher, his life was one of service and creativity. He was a man with a golden touch, who could paint beautiful landscapes or build marvels from spare parts, and who generously shared his time and skills with anyone who asked. A scientist at heart, he fostered a spirit of critical thinking and curiosity in his children, encouraging them to forge their own paths with honor, respect, and a deep love for family.
The son of Alush and Xhemile, he was the loved husband of Fatbardha, father of Alketa, Elton and Visar, grandfather of Victor, Eric, Elvis and Emily, brother of Flora, Diana, Fitim and Rozafat, and father-in-law to Andi and Eltona.
The family will receive friends on Friday, August 29th, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at The Abbey of Willoughby, 38011 Euclid Ave. (located on the grounds of McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home), Willoughby, OH 44094. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, August 30, at The Abbey of Willoughby, with burial to follow at Knollwood Cemetery. A luncheon in celebration of his life is to follow at Piccolo Italian Restaurant (1261 SOM Ctr Rd, Mayfield Heights, OH 44124).
