Sidney James "Zeke" Breaux Jr.

Sidney "Zeke" James Breaux, Jr. passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at the age of 97. He was a retired supervisor with Kaiser Aluminum with 40 years of service, resident and native of Plaquemine, LA. Zeke was a US Navy Veteran who served in the Korean War. Visitation will be held at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Plaquemine on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, from 9am until Mass of Christian of Burial at 11am, celebrated by Father Martin Lawrence. Entombment will follow at Grace Memorial Park, Plaquemine. Zeke is survived by his wife of 71 years, Barbara LeBlanc Breaux; children, Keith Breaux and wife Sherri, Kevin Breaux and wife Kim, Kraig Breaux and wife Linda, and Karen Breaux Medine and husband Felix "Bro"; grandchildren, Christopher Breaux and wife Dawn, Jennifer Breaux, Jason Breaux, Jodi Breaux, Cody Breaux and Alyssa Cimino; great grandchildren, Peyton Parker, Madison, Jacey, and Presley Breaux, and Kiersten Louallen; great-great grandchild, Atlas Hyatt; siblings, Patricia Rivet, Nancy Barthelemy and husband Lynn, and Theresa Gauthreaux and husband Billy; brother-in-law, Phillip Provenzano; sister-in-law, Debbie Breaux; numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, Sidney and Cora Lee Martinez Breaux; siblings, John "Bob" Breaux, Carl Breaux, and Rosemary Provenzano; in-laws, C.J. and Lula LeBlanc and sister-in-law, Catherine Gomez. Pallbearers will be Keith, Kevin, Kraig, Felix "Bro", Jason, Christopher, Cody and James Gomez. Honorary pallbearer will be Calvin Lorio and Lewis Gomez. Zeke was a Charter Member of Le Krewe Roi, loved traveling and was an avid LSU fan. Special thanks to Comfort Care Hospice especially John Barbee, Andrea Sandidge, Lacii Brown and Leslie Boudreaux, also Jackie Davis for all their loving care.
