Sidney Eugene Holton

Mr. Sidney Eugene Holton, age 66, of West Green, Georgia, went to be with the Lord on Thursday afternoon, June 26, 2025.
Sidney was born May 31, 1959, in Douglas, Georgia to Edith Virginia Bright Toole and the late Denton Eugene Holton, Jr. He worked in the construction industry and was self employed as a drywall finisher. He faithfully attended Elizabeth Baptist Church in Hazlehurst, Georgia and was an active supporter of "AA". He will long be remembered for his willingness to help others and spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Sidney was preceded in death by his daughter, Rebecca Lynn Holton, 2 grandsons, Jamie Fussell and Joshua Fussell, and his father, Denton Eugene Holton, Jr.
Sidney leaves behind his loving mother, Edith Virginia Bright Toole of Kennesaw, Georgia; siblings: Vikkie Jean Holton of Detroit, Michigan, Virginia Sue Little of Jackson, South Carolina, Glenda McCloskey (Craig) of Kennesaw, Georgia, Diana Harris and Patrick Holton, both of Douglas, Georgia; along with several aunts and uncles, and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family members.
A celebration of Sidney's life will be held on Monday afternoon, June 30, 2025 at 3:00 PM in the Ricketson Funeral Home Chapel. His family will receive friends in the chapel beginning at 2:00 PM for 1 hour prior to the service.
