Sidney Barry Iroff, (77) of Glen Burnie, MD passed away on Monday, December 29, 2025.
He was born in 1948 to Sol and Hilda Iroff in Washington, DC. He was a 1967 graduate of Wilson High School, and later attending Indiana University. He was also a proud veteran of the US Navy.
During the 1970s and '80s he owned and operated Empire Cleaners in Northwest Washington, D.C., a dry cleaning business passed to him by his father. He was later employed as a security guard with Vance International. Barry was severely injured in a car accident, which ended his career. He also survived prostate cancer.
Barry loved attending live concerts and enjoyed all types of genres, but the songs of the 1960s-70s were his favorites. He was an avid sports fan, always supporting the Washington Redskins, Capitals, Nationals, and the Baltimore Orioles. He loved attending sporting events with his daughters.
He is survived by his daughters, Erin Maureen (Dewitt) Brown and Samantha Lynn Iroff, brother David (Cindy) Iroff, sister Arlene (Patrick) Ahern, Scott Iroff, nephews Jason (Brittany) Iroff, and Justin Iroff, sister-in-law Cynthia (Michael) Leistner, and niece Emily (Noah) Cupp.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Sondra Ruth Iroff.
Barry will be deeply missed by many.
Services will be held on Monday, January 5, 2026, 2:00 PM at Union Cemetery, 3001 Spencerville Rd, Burtonsville, MD 20866
