Silverio Estrada Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Triska Funeral Home - El Campo on Feb. 3, 2026.
Silverio Estrada, 86, of El Campo, Tx, passed away peacefully knowing he was going home to his late wife, Lucy D Estrada. They were married for 59 years. Silverio was born on June 20, 1939 to the late Pedro and Dominga Estrada. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and great-great-grandfather. Silverio was a truck driver with Gulf Coast Lease Services and numerous other trucking companies. Silverio retired in 2011. After retirement he spent many days home mowing the lawn, gardening or painting anything he thought needed a little color. Most mornings were spent at Ritz Food Mart buying a cup of coffee, getting the El Campo Newspaper and having some breakfast at any of El Campo's local restaurants. When the sun would go down many would see Silverio at Sunnyside having a couple of "Sprites" as he would tell his grandchildren. Silverio was a friend to all, and loved by the El Campo Community. He was known to many as "Silver Dollar".

Silverio is preceded in death by his wife; parents; brothers, David Martinez and Robert Estrada and sisters, Janie Martinez Fuentes and Connie Aguilar.

He is survived by his children, Linda Cruz, Louise (Mario) Denker, Steve (Rebecca) Estrada, Frank (Laura) Estrada; grandchildren, Joseph (Melissa) Juarez, Marissa Estrada, Amanda (Carlos) Martinez, Anthony Cruz, Christopher (Vanessa) Espinoza, Emma Cruz (David), Devin (Kiana) Estrada, Olivia Cruz, Steven Estrada (Raelene), Seth (Delilah) Estrada, Evan Estrada; great-grandchildren, Jaxon, Addyson, Hayden, Jordyn, Raelyn, Carson, Luna, Miah, Isaiah, Azariah, Amelia, Lukas, Madden, Maeve, and Evelyne; great-great-grandchild, Santi; brothers, Emilio Estrada, Mike Estrada and Domingo Estrada; sisters, Josie Sanchez and Mary Mendez, and numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins.

Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. on Monday, February 9 at St. Robert Catholic Church with a Rosary recited at 6 p.m. The funeral Mass will begin at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, February 10 at St. Robert Catholic Church with the Rev. Philip Brune officiating. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Memorial Park.
