Simeon Charles Deer

Funeral services for Simeon Charles Deer will be held Friday, November 21, 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Little Quarsarty Church in Cromwell, Oklahoma. Interment will follow at the Little Quarsarty Cemetery. Wake services will be Thursday, 7:00 PM also at the Little Quarsarty Church of Cromwell. Simeon Charles Deer was born April 13, 1950 in Okemah, Oklahoma to Louis and Jemina (Yahola) Deer. He passed away Monday, November 17, 2025 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 75. Simeon graduated from Butner High School and later attended Haskell Indian College. He proudly served his country during the Vietnam War with the United States Army. After many years of work, Simeon retired from Tinker Airforce Base. He enjoyed going to gun shows, playing pool, and family cookouts. Simeon really loved his family, especially his great nephew Eli. He is preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Terry Louis Deer; one nephew, Jeremy Russell Morris; and one great niece, Lydia Lynn Cravatt. He is survived by three sisters, Linda Morris (Joe) of Phoenix, Arizona; Marsha Asenap (Hollis) of Grand Prairie, Texas; and Laura Harjo (Sonny) of Eufaula, Oklahoma; nieces, Lauren Harjo-Redhouse and Rodrigo Redhouse of Jenks, Lisa and Roderick Redhouse of Norman, Oklahoma; nephews, Jason Asenap of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Mitchell Morris of Tempe, Arizona and Bradley Morris of Tempe, Arizona; great-nephews, Eli Harjo of Oklahoma City and Jaden Morris of Phoenix, Arizona; great-nieces, Larissa Morris of Phoenix, Arizona and Vivianna Morris of Phoenix, Arizona; two great-great-nieces, one great-great-nephew and especially survived by his niece, who was more like a daughter, Rebecca Harjo of Eufaula. Serving as pallbearers will be Eli Harjo, Rodrigo Redhouse, Roderick Redhouse, Joseph Harjo, Noah Harjo, John Cravatt, and Jason Asenap. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Mitchell Morris, Abraham Guerrero, Nico Esparaza, Isabel Esparaza, Ruben Chen Sun Jr., Bradley Morris, Hollis Asenap, Joe Morris, and Zechariah Harjo. Services will be under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home, Okemah, Oklahoma and officiated by Rev. Sonny Harjo and Rev. Lincoln Harjo.
