Cleo Standford Obituary
Avon and Zelma Jeffrey Walker welcomed their oldest daughter, Cleo Marie, on December 6, 1935, a blessing that filled their hearts with joy.
She was preceded in death by her loving parents; her brothers, Otis and Malvon Walker; and her sister, Mary Vyrine Walker Summers.
Cleo Marie united with Lane Chapel CME Church at an early age, remaining a member until her marriage. She later joined Goodwill Baptist Church, where she served faithfully until relocating to Marietta, Georgia. After moving to Georgia, she united with Liberty Hill Missionary Baptist Church and continued her lifelong commitment to faith, serving as a devoted and steadfast member throughout her life.
Cleo Marie met and married William G. Standford at an early age. To this union three daughters and one son were born. Her husband preceded her in death.
Cleo Marie retired from the Oklahoma State Department of Correction. Shortly afterwards, she wanted to continue being active, so she worked with Prague National Bank and the United States Postal Service.
She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, American Business Women Association and the Newcomer's Club. Her hobbies included traveling, playing games and bowling.
Cleo Marie is survived by: Daughters Sandra Standford, Billie Standford and Cheri Standford Budd (Daniel) Marietta, Georgia and son William Standford, Jr. (Doris) of Grand Prairie, Texas. Five grandchildren: Natalie Morgan (Donald) Guthrie, Oklahoma, Shilah Parrish (Chaz) St. Louis, Missouri, Marissa Trower (Jason) Marietta, Georgia. William Dion Standford, Frisco, Texas and Kya Jones (Jamal) of Maumelle, Arkansas. Six Great Grandchildren: Braydon and Ayden Morgan, Chance Parrish, Chloe and Jasmine Trower and Jordyn Jones. One sister, Eunice Becknell, Wichita, Kansas and a host of nieces and nephews.
Services will be under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home, Okemah, Oklahoma.

With deepest sympathy in the loss of your Beloved Mother. It has been a pleasure knowing her with her gentle and kind personality. So glad I was able to attend her 90 birthday party and she looked amazing. Gone but never forgotten. Rest in Paradise. Mrs. Cleo.
