Simon "Si" Tucker

Simon Tucker, 90, of Crossville, TN, passed away peacefully on June 7, 2025, in Pleasant Hill, TN.

He was born on April 20, 1935, in Clifty, TN, to Simon "Clint" and Effie Tucker.

Si is survived by his devoted wife of 56 years, Marcy Tucker; his children, Simon Jr. (Carol), Pam, and Troy; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and his sister, Barbara Bryant.

He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers-Maurice, Elbert, Rodney, and Wendell; and three sisters-Beth, Loyce, and Vicky.

Simon attended Pleasant Hill High School and proudly served in the United States Navy at the end of the Korean War. He worked for over 30 years in the electronic manufacturing industry and was known for his strong work ethic and dedication.

A man of deep service and compassion, Simon found his greatest joy in spending time with family and fishing-anywhere he could find water. He led with a servant's heart, always ready to help those in need. He served his neighbors faithfully as president of the Indian Woods Village HOA for eight years and was a longtime member of Tansi Community Church and a lifetime member of the VFW Post 5025.

Simon was quick with a smile and never met a stranger. His warmth, generosity, and quiet strength will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Tansi Community Church, with family visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Cumberland County or Tansi Community Church.
